	Idyllic pictures of animals living in peace and harmony usually irritate me. Oh, and the unicorn is not supposed to look like a horse with a horn: my snow-unicorns are more like a horse/moose combination.

17 Nov 2003	Tara (SilverMoonFox) Taylor	Loading... Very nice!!! Yea alot of pictures tend to show nature being at complete peace (lions playing happily with zebras lalalala...)! But yea this shows nature in it's realistic form! Nature is beautiful- but it is also a constant battlefield. Even unicorns existing in nature would be part of the vicious circle rather than looked upon as gods by the other creatures. As a wild animal, they'd be just as at risk of death as a gazelle or moose, etc. And they themselves would even be a threatening animal using that sharp horn as a weapon when needed. A magical horned horsey running across rainbows is one thing. A true, real wild unicorn is another I always preferred the realistic wild unicorns myself Great pic!

A racoon once killed a huge rat - maybe the biggest one I’ve ever seen - in my back yard. It was not for food, as the rat was not eaten. I think they fought to the death as a territorial despute.
