I am finally-finally-finally getting a handle on what I want my snow-unicorns to look like. I'm terribly pleased with this piece, but you can give me helpful advice anyway. :P Ink 08-03

I like this, but I think it's better in colour. I guess that's just because I like everything better in colour.

This just goes to show that there are really no limits in the world of fantasy. I never would of thought of putting unicorns in the snow but I like how you've done it... kinda gets me in the mood for the holidays, I wonder if that was intentional?

I love it Where did you learn to draw like that. I can draw a little but nothing good enough to be in here.(The unicorn holding the human back, I think, has too bit of a mane)

Another Elfquest looking one. Great idea, the snow unicorns!

This is the first drawing? I think you are very brave to commit yourself to such a detailed and precise outline at such an early stage. I would have to block in all the colour and most of the shading before I dared put down anything as definate as a line.
Love the drawing!

I agree with youre sentiments, your pen and ink versions are exquisite and lovely, the colors that you are trying to use with the pieces are far too bold, causing the beautiful, but light pen work to become lost... I think that it is a strong pint in your style, don't let it get mucked down by thick colors. Do you own an adobe photoshop program? If so, you should try finishing a piece in ink, and then scan it into photoshop, create additional layers to lay over the image, and then, out lining the shapes that you want to be colored, using the pen tool, fill in the high lighted shapes with the color you want, and then fade the color out, until you are left with an effect that looks like watercolors, but wont risk the integrity of the original piece.... or not, *S* choose what you will, but I think youre pen pieces are stunning
